KIMERU

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Kimeru is a J-pop musician most famous for his work with Tennis no Oojisama. Born June 17, 1980 he originally became a mailman, but later decided to pursue a career as a singer. He adopted the stage name Kimeru, which means "to decide" in Japanese, before debuting. Kimeru's birth name has never been announced publicly.

On December 5, 2001 Kimeru released his first single, You got game ?. The song was used as the first ending song for the anime テニスの王子様 (The Prince of Tennis, commonly called "TeniPuri" or "AniPuri"), which was based on a manga by the same name created by Takeshi Konomi. He followed up this release one year later with Make You Free, which was also used as an opening song for later episodes of Tennis no Oojisama.

In the spring of 2003 Kimeru was cast as Shusuke Fuji in Tenimyu. With the rising popularity of the musical brought rising popularity to his music, and on November 27, 2003 Kimeru released his first mini-album, The Beginning.

The end of 2003 also brought tragedy to Tenimyu. The actor cast for the main role, Yanagi Kotarou, was struck by a car and was in critical condition for some months. Because the second musical's rehearsals were well underway and dates already set, Kimeru had to step up into the role of Echizen Ryoma. Kimeru returned to his role of Fuji once a temporary replacement for Echizen was found.

In late April/early May of 2004, Kimeru went on his very first tour, OVERLAP. On August 25, 2004 he released his fourth single, Be Shiny, as well as his first DVD with live footage and music videos.

At the end of 2004, Kimeru was graduated out of his role as Fuji in Tenimyu. Not losing any steam, Kimeru released his fifth single The Pleasure of Love. Kimeru's popularity was growing, and on May 21, 2005, he performed in his first seated live house (Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo).

Winter of 2005 brought even more success to Kimeru. After the release of his seventh single, LOVE BITES, he released his first ever full length album, glorious. He later released a piano score for the album.

Spring of 2006 proved a busy time for Kimeru. While his regular radio show "Kimeruのキラキラ☆レコーディング (Kimeru no KiraKira*Recording)". He also sang the song STYLE, the ending song for the new anime "MUSASHI". Kimeru toured once again, holding a special live in Tokyo on April 19 (the day of his new single's release), and ending his tour in Tokyo again. He also released his first photobook, Prince of New Noble Glam Rock.

On April 24, 2006, Kimeru announced that he would be making his first ever live appearance overseas in China. After some consultations, it was finally decided that Kimeru would visit both Beijing and Chongqing. This was incredible news, and a big step in Kimeru's career.).

Kimeru announced the PV for Timeless would feature some of his old castmates from Tenimyu: Aoyama Sota, Takigawa Eiji, and Gomoto Naoya.

When Timeless was finally released on October 4,2006, the announcement was made about Kimeru's next single, featuring a collaboration between him and popular musician Daisuke Asakura. Known as DA to most of his fans, most people know him from either his work with the popular anime series Gravitation, or from producing many songs for the singer T.M.Revolution. The new release, called Starry Heavens, was set for release just one month after Timeless.

Endo Yuya

Endo was born on March 20th, 1987. He's first major onscreen debut was for the 2000 film, Juvenile. He also was apart of the Watanabe net drama, Hice Cool (2005), appearing alongside fellow D-Boy members, Yanagi Kotarou, Shirota Yuu, and Adachi Osamu.

On November 16, 2005, Endo released an Idol DVD called Ao no Kiseki.

In September, 2006, he, along with fellow D-Boy member, Yuu Shirota, appeared in the music video for RAG FAIR's "Kimi no Tame ni Boku ga Tate ni Naro", playing a DJ in love with his co-host.

Endo is part of the Watanabe Entertainment group named D-BOYS. He is one of the original members of the group.

As a member of the D-Boys, Endo also keeps a blog, which he updates occasionally and includes a personal video greeting from Endo.

Being a part of the D-Boys provides Endo with a lot of opportunities. Among them was to perform with the group of boys and expand his experience as a performer.

The D-Boys so far have released two Photobooks. The first photobook released on April 27, 2005 was self-titled D-Boys, while the second, released on March 15th, 2006 was called Start, both which contain many photos of Endo.

The D-boys have also starred in their own drama documentary variety series called, DD-Boys in which Endo has appeared in every episodes as himself because the skits revolve around Endo playing himself with fellow D-Boys member, Yanagi Kotaroh also playing himself, as they try to live in the D-house while the other D-Boys drop by. The show was 24 episodes long and ran from April 10 to September 25, 2006.

Endo was brought into the Tenimyu as a replacement for actor Kotaroh Yanagi, who had been injured in a car accident. He would be playing the main protagonist of the show, Ryouma Echizen, until Yanagi was able to recover. He also shared the role of Ryoma with Yanagi in two shows, which included Tenimyu in Winter: Side Fudomine ~Special Match~ and Dream Live 2nd. On June 13, 2004, Endo made his debut as Ryoma Echizen during the Dream Live 1st concert. During his run in the musicals, he was able to work with fellow D-Boys members, Kotaroh Yanagi, Yuu Shirota, Masaki Kaji, Hiroki Suzuki, Osamu Adachi, Hirofumi Araki, and Masato Wada.

He performed, as Ryoma, in the following shows:

* Dream Live 1st: First Live concert
* More Than Limit: St. Rudolph Gakuin
* Tenimyu in Winter: Side Fudomine ~Special Match~
* Tenimyu in Winter: Side Yamabuki - Featuring St Rudolph
* Dream Live 2nd: Second Live concert

On May 4, 2005, after the final performance for the Dream Live 2nd concert, he graduated from his role as Ryoma.

Yanagi Kotarou

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Yanagi was born on December 21, 1985, in Berlin, Germany (he is ethnically 100% Japanese). He moved to Japan at age 3, then moved to India in first grade (due to his father's work). From fourth to sixth grade he attended an American boarding school in India, after which he finished school and currently resides in Japan. He is fluent in English and Japanese.

He's a member of the young men's stage acting troupe, D-Boys, which plays in various skit-like performances. He acted in the web drama, Hice Cool! and had a supporting role in the movie Aa~! Izakaya Puroresu, a wrestling film, as well as the drama Rocket Boys. He also acted in his D-Boys troupe's TV drama DD-Boys. His first major film role is as the otaku lead character in Chikan Otoko, based off of a book by the same name.

His most famous role, however, is as Ryouma Echizen in Tenimyu series (based on the manga and anime series of the same name), specifically:

* The Prince of Tennis Musical
* The Prince of Tennis Musical: The Special Match Fudomine SIDE (alongside fellow D-Boy Endo Yuuya, who also played Echizen)
* The Prince of Tennis Musical: Dream Live 2nd (he again shared the role with Endo)
* The Prince of Tennis Musical: The Imperial Match Hyotei Gakuen
* The Prince of Tennis Musical: The Imperial Match Hyotei Gakuen in winter
* The Prince of Tennis Musical: Dream Live 3rd

During his run in the musicals, he was able to work with fellow D-Boys members, Yuya Endo, Yuu Shirota, Masaki Kaji, Hiroki Suzuki, Osamu Adachi, Hirofumi Araki, and Masato Wada. On March 29th, 2006, Yanagi graduated from the role of Echizen after the last performance for Dream Live 3rd.

Yanagi's hobbies are hanging with friends and karaoke, which may help explain his singing skill in the Prince of Tennis Musicals. His major skills, as he personally states, are "street dancing, lock dancing, and pantomime." His dream was to become a professional dancer, however his dancing skills were impeded by his injuries from his accident (see below).

After leaving a rehearsal for The Prince of Tennis Musical: The Special Match Fudomine, Yanagi was hit by a car. He had extensive damage to his body and vocal cords and was unconscious for two weeks. Doctors predicted he would be bedridden for the rest of his life, but he was able to make a miraculous recovery and is currently strong enough to act again, although he has difficulty with his dancing and singing. His recovery time prevented him from playing in that and the next 2 Tenimyu (in which he was replaced by Kimeru and Endo Yuuya, respectively).
